CFA Day at the University of Gdańsk – A Successful Event at the Faculty of Management!
On November 26, 2024, the Faculty of Management at the University of Gdańsk became a hub of knowledge and inspiration for future financial professionals. CFA Day, organized by the scientific circles Agora and Inwestor, attracted a large audience of students and academic staff, offering them the opportunity to engage with distinguished experts from the financial industry.
Official Opening and Welcome
The event was inaugurated by the Dean of the Faculty of Management, prof. Angelika Kędzierska-Szczepaniak, and the Head of the Department of Corporate Finance, prof. Ewa Majerowska. Both speakers emphasized the importance of initiatives like CFA Day in building a bridge between academic theory and professional practice.
Experts on the CFA Program and Career Development
The lineup of speakers included renowned specialists who shared their insights and experiences:
- Prof. Krzysztof Jajuga, President of CFA Society Poland, provided practical information about the CFA exams, support offered by CFA Society, and the benefits of obtaining the certification.
- Grzegorz Pułkotycki, CFA, Investment Director at Starfunds and alumnus of the Faculty of Management at UG, discussed his experiences with the CFA program, highlighting its impact on developing both personal and professional competencies.
- Adam Puckowski, Senior Business Analyst at LSEG and also a UG alumnus, focused on the practical application of knowledge gained during studies at the Faculty of Management in preparing for the CFA exams and advancing in the job market. His proposal for internships was met with great enthusiasm by the students.
Practical Value and Remarkable Interest
At the conclusion of the event, the Head of the Department of Corporate Finance, prof. Ewa Majerowska, thanked the speakers for their inspiring presentations, which showcased real opportunities to apply academic knowledge in practice.
The level of interest exceeded the organizers' expectations. Students particularly appreciated the practical nature of the information shared, which they can already begin applying to their development.
